Response VII (Partition III)
Meagan Streader
Shipping container, electroluminescent wire.

Response VII (Partition III) responds to the geometry of a shipping container, tracing its structure in light and dividing the space into skewed segments. The work presents a contrast between the established construction of the container by redefining the steel tunnel into a seemingly stretched and continuous linear corridor for viewers to investigate. Response VII (Partition III) aims to destabilise and challenge visual perspectives through an immersive experience within the reconstructed light tunnel. Preconceived ideas of the physical space must be discarded in order to imagine new pathways and examine one’s physical presence within the space.
