ABOUT SOFT CENTRE

SOFT CENTRE explores radical new ideas in sound, art, and digital media through its annual festival and various collaborative projects. Since its inception in 2017, SOFT CENTRE has been lauded for its uncompromising commitment to experimental artistic programming, cross-disciplinary collaboration and knowledge sharing, winning ‘Music Event of the Year’ at the FBi Radio SMAC Awards in 2017 & 2018.

In addition to the annual festival, SOFT CENTRE works with organisations and artists across a variety of practices to develop cutting edge performances, public installations and programs.

SOFT CENTRE will return in 2022 with the generous support of the Australia Council for the Arts, CreateNSW and City of Sydney.

SOFT CENTRE would like to acknowledge that all of the work we undertake as a collective, happens on stolen land.

We acknowledge the traditional and original owners of the land on which we operate the Gadigal people of the Eora nation.

We pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging.
